Founded 36 years ago, the Martin House foundation has grown to include the Martin House Learning Center providing educational instruction to over 350 children and adults each week, Better Community House of Trenton, Inc., which has completely renovated 109 abandoned houses over the past three decades, built 65 new town homes and granted 147 mortgages, Doorway to Hope, Inc., which provides single mothers with housing and life skills programs, enabling them to become self-sufficient and the Martin House Clothing Stores, providing quality secondhand clothes, furniture and household appliances to the poor of the Wilbur neighborhood.
