Crushable concrete installed as part of the Trenton-Mercer Airport’s EMAS system in Ewing Township on Tuesday, September 25, 2012. EMAS stands for Engineered Material Arresting System, and is placed at the end of a runway to stop an aircraft that overruns the runway.
