PRINCETON - Wednesday, March 1, 2017 On Ash Wednesday, Catholic and Christian Churches offered ashes as part of their liturgies and the Episcopal Diocese of New Jersey offered Ashes to Go, a special program where teams of clergy and laity from parishes throughout the diocese set up in public locations such as transit centers and places of business, to distribute ashes to passers-by.
