More than 82 years after it opened its doors, Trenton Central High School on Chambers Street officially closed in August of 2014. The building had fallen into such a state of disrepair that initial plans of partial preservation were abandoned and it was decided that the 395,000 square foot school should be razed and an entirely new school be built in its place.
