The Delaware Canal in New Hope Pa., on Friday, March 16, 2012. The Delaware Canal underwent a major rebuilding a few years ago but when water was put back into the canal it leaked into homes and businesses in New Hope at the intersection of Mechanic Street. The canal has been dry in the New Hope area for several years which means that the mule-drawn barge rides have been put on hold, causing New Hope to lose a major tourist attraction.
