A replica of an 1880 sternwheeler, owned by SPLASH, is put into the Delaware River at the Lambertville Public Boat Launch on Tuesday, April 24. 2012. The launch had been repeatedly delayed by low river water levels. SPLASH stands for Student Participation in Learning Aquatic Science and History and the nonprofit organization, the Delaware River Steamboat Floating Classroom hosts students and groups as they experience interactive ecology lessons on board the sternwheeler.
