The first Patriots 5k Run took place on Dec. 31, 2011 at the Old Barracks Museum at 101 Barrack St. in Trenton, New Jersey, part of the city's Patriots' Week festivities. The course is through the streets of historic downtown Trenton where the Continental Army clashed with Hessian troops.
