TRENTON - Wednesday, December 28, 2016
Kids 'Cross the Delaware' at the Trenton Free Public Library on Academy Street for Patriots Week. Girl Scout Katie Laresch,15, of West Windsor wanted to do something concerning Washington Crossing the Delaware as her Gold Award project. She took her idea to Trenton Free Public Library Community Outreach Librarian Rochelle Stern. Laresch constructed a wooden "boat" which will stay at the library as "a cool place for kids to read." She also did a few workshops at the library and wrote a skit that was performed on Wednesday by children at the library.
