At the age of 12, Lindsey Tippett, now 24, was told she had an extremely rare, inoperable form of Ewing’s Sarcoma – a bone cancer that afflicts adolescents. A blood drive was held on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 to celebrate her life. For every unit of blood collected, the Community Blood Council of New Jersey will be making a financial contribution to the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund and all participants will be entered to win a pair of Super Bowl XLVIII tickets at MetLife Stadium.
