UrbanPromise Trenton participate in "Paddle for Promise" a 52-mile canoeing trip down the Delaware River from Trenton to Wilmington, Del., that will take place June 28 and 29, 2013 to raise funds supporting two free summer camp programs for children in Trenton and jobs for Trenton teens as camp counselors. Volunteer paddlers are making the trip on two 45-foot outrigger canoes over the course of the two days. Volunteers from the Philadelphia Dragon Boat Association and Philadelphia Police Dragon Boat Team are participating alongside UrbanPromise volunteers and staff, The UrbanPromise Trenton team has set a goal of raising $25,000 and will receive pledges online.
