Mercer County Parks Department workers clear brush from the roadside at the Mercer Meadows Pole Farm in Lawrence Township at Keefe and Cold Soil Rds. The historically significant site was the location for the first trans-Atlantic communication. It evolved into the sole location for trans-Atlantic communication during WWII and by 1965 it was the largest radio-telephone station in the world. From left; Jeff Dempsey, Anthony Kraemer, Jeff Bourne and Gary Leonardo.
