Brother and sister Juan and Miriam Martinez are boosters for Borinqueneers in New Jersey. They launched a successful campaign in NJ to support a national effort to get Borinqueneers recognized by Obama with awarding of the Congressional Medal of Honor. Borinqueneers are the 65th Infantry Regiment from Puerto Rico It was established my congressional mandate in 1899 and was the largest, longest-standing, and only active-duty segregated Latino military unit in US history.
