Director of the Mercer County Wildlife Center Diane Nickerson, Park Ranger Brandon Nitschmann and County Executive Brian Hughes release a great blue heron at Mercer County Park in West Windsor on Tuesday, October 29, 2013. The great blue heron was treated at the Wildlife Center in Hopewell Township after being injured near the Mercer County Park Marina. The heron had gotten caught in a fishing line and was found hanging by its wing from a tree on Oct. 17. Nitschmann retrieved the injured bird. Martin Griff / The Times of Trenton
